Thinking about becoming a Chadron State Eagle? There's no better way to picture your future than by experiencing our campus in person!
We invite all prospective students—whether you're a first-time freshman, transfer, or graduate student—to schedule a personalized campus visit. Your 2 1/2-hour visit will give you a firsthand look at what life is like at Chadron State College and in the beautiful Northwest Nebraska region.
What to Expect on Your Visit: (All times are in Mountain Standard Time; MST)
Admissions Info Session (30 minutes): Start with an informative session led by our Campus Visits Coordinator in Crites Hall. You'll get the inside scoop on everything from the admissions process, student life, housing, scholarships, and financial aid.
Campus Tour (1 hour): Explore campus with one of our knowledgeable student Admissions Ambassadors, who’ll share what it’s really like to be an Eagle.
Note: This is a walking tour, but are happy to make any accommodations.Academic Meeting (30 minutes): One-on-one meeting with a faculty member from your area of interest. Ask questions, discuss your goals, and dive deeper into your potential major and career path. Please note that during our Mid-Term/Christmas breaks that faculty are not required to be on campus and may affect academic appointment availability, we will try our best to schedule all appointments!

Please note that 10/19-10/20 is Chadron State College's Mid Term break. While we are open, faculty and coaches are not required to be on campus during this time. We will do our best with scheduling these appointments, but are not guaranteed.

Questions & Answers
- When can I visit campus?
Chadron State campus visits are held Monday - Friday with visit times at 9:30am and 1:30pm (Mountain Time Zone). You are able to book your campus visit during the academic year and summer months.
- Where will my campus visit begin?
Your campus visit will begin in the lobby of historic Crites Hall (see map for location). An Admissions Ambassador will greet you at the Visit Desk (look out for your name on the video board!) Parking is available in the circle in front of Crites Hall. You will see your name on the parking sign as we are thrilled to have you as our special guest.
- Do I need to arrive early for my campus visit?
Early arrival may result in extended waiting times. We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes before the start of your Admissions Information Session.
- How long does a campus visit last?
A campus visit could last anywhere from 2 hours to 2.5 hours, depending on additional requested appointments.
- What local airports and hotels are available if I'm making a long distance trip?
Chadron State is located in rural NW Nebraska but are fortunate to have a number of options for our special guests making a long distance trip to visit us.

- Western Nebraska Regional Airport (Scottsbluff, NE - 90 min. from campus)
- Rapid City Regional Airport (Rapid City, SD - 90 min. from campus)

- Will I get to meet with an academic advisor during my visit?
The short answer is yes! Upon registration, you will list your intended major and we will then connect you with a faculty member for your academic area of interest during your visit.
- Can I bring family and friends to my campus visit?
Yes, you can!
- If I am a student-athlete and interested in participating in Division II Athletics or club sports, will I be able to meet with a coach?
We welcome all student-athletes to campus whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, or graduate student. Though athletic appointments are not always guaranteed, we do our best to accommodate your request and schedule you with those you desire to meet with.
